Sunday

Hehe... Do you think it's pathetic that I've listed myself in BlogHop.com? I dunno, I did it on a whim. Well, I don't think it will hurt, hehe! Maybe you guys would like to list your bloggies too :P They've got this rating thing going on. Care to help me out? The dark green is the highest and red is lowest. Even if I hardly think it'll help me, coz the top raters there have like, 800 readers or something! I don't even think I have more than 15! but whatever, it's fun. Or at least I think so...

Whooooo, New Layout!!

Does my new layout annoy you? Hee hee hee! Candy colors and a hopping Yapi! At first I started out doing a more complicated animation; I was gonna make myself turn at the peak of my jump, but... I got lazy. So... Ah, that jumping Yapi's good enough. Not like I'm being paid for this anyway, bwehehehehe.

Damn, I'm such a lazy doop. No wonder I ain't gettin' anywhere. Hehehehe.

Oh, and uh... Does this layout look okay on 800x600 settings? Or do I hang myself and tweak it some more? I know, I know, I could just switch my settings and check, but my compy hates me. It sometimes looks different on other people's compies. But I'm sure this one fits that setting better than my last layout did... Right?

Anyway! Yipee, I remembered to add two more people to my list there *points to left*. What's so convenient in Xanga is that you just subscribe to them, and boom, they're on the list. Here you have to do it manually. Anyway, back to the what I was originally saying, I was finally able to add Random Korean Guy and my buddy Cristy to my list of reads. Yaaaaaay! It's good too, because this reminds me to actually go to their pages. It's pretty hard to read RandomKoreanGuy's yellow-fonted entries because the background on the Xanga Subscription E-mail is white. Aaaaaagh. And I forget to comment on those that aren't on my list. I suck, yes, I know ***SHAME***

Oh, and I went shopping!!! Of course, when I mean shopping, I hardly mean I bought clothes. When I go shopping, I buy cloth, because I'm so chunky that the clothes here don't really fit me right because nobody makes clothes for anyone with a waist larger than 28" or so it seems, hehe. Besides, I hardly like the clothes for sale around here... Except maybe in places like ukay-ukay. Anyway! What the cloth has ended up has is that little number I'm wearing while jumping up there. And you know what, I think just for kicks I'm gonna start putting up a doodle of what I just recently wore on every entry. Hehehehehe. Why? Because I oh so need the doodle practice! I haven't drawn properly for so long I've gotten so rusty! I don't know if these stupid doodles will help me keep in shape, but better than not drawing at all, right? Right.

Heaven Tries to Cheer Up Yapi

Hehe, the timing couldn't be better ^_^

Last Monday, while I was waiting for the teacher to arrive to class, the door to my classroom opened and in walked my classmate, Mr. Man-Boobs. Sorry, I don't know his name but he had man-boobs. NOT the yucky kind!!! The yummy kind, where there's a nice definition in the guy's chest and you KNOW he works out just by looking at him. Anyway, when I looked at him he kinda reminded me of Alan because of his nice body, and he was kinda cute too so I had to peek.

Then, after class ended, I picked up my backpack and got out of there. Suddenly...

YAPI: *hums to herself, walking off*
Mr. M-B: *walks beside Yapi* Hi!!! I really really like your style! Are you Japanese? You look so cute!
YAPI: *blink*
Mr. M-B: ........................
YAPI: *blink blink**
Mr. M-B: ........................
YAPI: REALLY!?! Hahahahahahah!!!

....Yeah, I must have sounded psycho. But not psycho enough to scare him off because he still walked and talked with me until I left him when we reached the sidewalk. But it *was* a surprise! And a funny coincidence! It was during the time when I was feeling a bit confused regarding my manner of dressing (just for reference, *points to right* that was what I was wearing last Monday -- kinda similar to the one a couple of posts ago, but with a little bit more spunk). It was as if God just went and said, "Here, Yapi, to cheer you up, a yummy guy who LOVES how you dress!"

Hahahahaha!

Ah, but before anyone gets any ideas, no, Alan's not suddenly available. Hee hee. Mr. Man-Boobs was just a bit of cheer-up eye candy and ego-boosting. No one can replace Alan, even if he were to kiss the very floor of my closet (and that's a very not neat floor, mind you!). Ah... Feel free to throw bricks at me now for being disgustingly cheesy!!

Anyway, I think I've talked on enough about dressing and relationships... So I promise that the next blog will be about something else :P But one last thingy: I was able to dig up this dress I bought when I was fourteen. It stopped fitting me for a while because my bodily chunk just kept piling up like nothing! But now I seem to have lost enough weight to be able to wear it again (although I could still do good to lose a LOT more, hehe :P I'm so chunky!!!!). It looked a bit outdated, though, so I had grandma remove the sleeves to I can wear them out again. Oh, and yeah, I thought I was gonna watch a movie, so I had to wear my glasses... Even if they didn't match my outfit because the lenses are pink.. Then again, mismatching is pretty fun :P

Oooh, Esjay, I love the Sponge Bob shirt! He drives me nuts, but the shirt is kooky, hehehe! Oh, and your pink hair is hontou ni kawaisugiiiiiii! Alan showed me plenty of pics from your par-tay!! (although Alan's pictures here are embarrassing me!!! *naughty snicker* J/K!!! Hahahaha! Don't tell him!!!)

Making Someone Out as the Bad Guy

Hmm... I seem to have gotten some shaky feedback regarding my last post... And now I feel bad... Have you ever watched any of those movies where the girlfriend manipulates people into thinking that her boyfriend is being bad to her? The movie "It Could Happen to You", for example. Rosie Perez was saying all these exagerrated things about Nicholas Cage, saying that he hits her and stuff, and of course he'd get mad so he grabbed her arm out of frustration, and she was like, "See? See???"

I felt like I just did that >_<

Sorry, Alan. I know you don't read this (and boy I'm glad) but I wanted to do a public apology anyway.

He's not forcing a dress code on me, at first it was just a clash of beliefs on conforming, but he did say that he liked the way I dress. Thing is, I guess he gets worried about the perverts around here because I get stared at a lot. And he'd prefer if I at least didn't dress like a lolita or that he looks like he's got a lolita complex that he's forcing on me. Now some people think that there's nothing wrong with having a girlie that looks young, but I just want to say this in his defense:

The saying, "do your thing and don't care about what others think", to me, only goes to a certain extent.

*taps chalkboard with pointer*

Let me explain. Although this isn't just about Alan anymore.

For the people I see on the street, people I don't know personally, and people I will never see again I don't give a flying poopie what they think of me. They can say that my plaid milkmaid skirt with the mismatching lace trimmings and my giant socks with fuzzy shoes are horrible, ugly, and distasteful and I will bow to them and say thank you. But as a good friend, a good girlfriend, and a good family member I have to be sensitive to the feelings of the people who I do care about. And I understand the fact that not everyone is comfortable with non-conformity.

Before I go on, let it be known that I no way in hell go out of my way to look different. I would wear normal clothes if I found them nice-looking, and I DO have a lot of normal clothes in my closet. Hell, I dress normal once in a while. Actually, if it were up to me, I would have wanted to be born completely normal and completely conformist, because there is nothing I hate more than people calling me wierd and thinking I like it. I try to be as normal as I can, but I will only do it without pretending. Because over the years, I have learned that the more I try to act normal, the wierder I become. Don't get me started on how I hard I tried to fit in when I was younger.

Okay, back to what I was saying originally. Some people are not comfortable being with people who stand out. Admit it, you've been embarrassed by other people too, let's say, when someone you're with did something inappropriate for the vicinity you're in, or maybe got ass drunk in your party and ruined it for everyone, something like that. I see it in that same way. Some people just can't help being uncomfortable when they hang out with me in an accessorizing mood. And just how you can't help who you fall in love with, you also can never help how you feel. Let's say your aunt from Antipolo went over and gave you a hideous polka-dotted spandex suit. You can't help but hate it, right? It's hideous!! But it doesn't mean that you don't love your aunt and it doesn't mean you will never eat any of her delicious cookies again.

So I'm fine with people telling me that they don't like the way I dress. I won't lie, it *does* make me sad when someone relevant wished I didn't look the way I did, but I don't want them to feel any unecessary discomfort. If it embarrasses them to be seen with me, then fine, they can't help it. I will tone down my attire and save the outfit for another day that I'm with someone who doesn't mind. I have a reserve of normal clothing for such an occassion. Anyway, I've learned that the old "frog in slowly boiling water" trick works wonders. Introduce an article of clothing little by little, and sooner or later they won't notice that they're finally comfortable with what they didn't want to be seen with a few months ago :) I'm NOT saying Alan won't be seen with me, I'm just saying this in defense of all people who are uncomfortable with unconventional dressing.

Anyone still reading this? Hehe. Thanks...

Moonbunny, yes I bleach my hair first until it's a very very light blonde. Otherwise, it's just like using a red pen on black paper -- you know the color's there, but you can't see it :P
