Yay!

Before I hop into bed tonight, I decided to make this quick little cartoon:

You guessed it, I just watched Spiderman! Wahooooooooo!

Did I like it? Of course I liked it! I hope they make a ride outta that! And I hope I get to ride it when I visit the States again! Hehe! I was in such a good mood when I was watching this movie too, so I was laughing practically every minute. Not necessarily because it was funny or anything, but because I felt so happy for Peter Parker... Or something like that... Anyway! The movie made me happy :) The only thing that was bothering me was the Green Goblin... He kinda....

...looked like an evil Capoeira.

But maybe that's just me :P Hehe. Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Not very wordy tonight. Prolly coz I'm already sleeeeeeepy -___- Good night! Have a happy :)

Brijo Doodle

Like I said, one of my favorite pages/blogs to read is The Secret Life of Brian Joseph. It's a shit to type in the URL window up there in the browser, but anyway! He's Alan's friend, actually, but I don't read it just because of that! In fact, I went to his page not even really knowing who he was (since he just left a note on my guestbook and it wasn't until I signed his guestbook that my miniscule little brain-on-vacation put it together that the "usagi" he was referring to was no other than Alan). ANYWAY. Go read his page. It's fun. Especially the Green Lantern entry.

Anyway! You may be thinking, "what the hell is Yapi doing plugging someone else's blog?" Weeeeeeeell, his new entry today had something about his first doodle since he broke his arm, and he's saying that he doesn't like it. But go there and look at the doodle, it rocks! Blargh. I feel so inadequate! Hehe. But anyway, I'm here to say "that's not truuuuuuue!" I have a doodle prior to that one, so that's not the first doodle he did ever since his arm got better. Here it is:

Ain't it nifty? It's so nifty!!!

Anyway, what am I doing posting someone's doodle on my blog? Nothing, I just feel like it! This is my blog, dammit, I do what I want! Nya nya nya. I'm annoying today. Mwa ha ha ha ha ha. It's a good doodle anyway. *pout* Besides, it kinda makes me cool by association. Like how some people make themselves cool by showing people they've got their idol's autograph? Looky me, I've got Brijo's doodle. Bwa ha ha ha. I'm so lame and I love it!

Uhm... I just hope he doesn't mind that I'm posting it here... Well, I don't think he comes here anyway, hwe hwe hwe. Is it ethical, though? To post without permission? Eh... Well... he *gave* it to me... Well, not really... He drew it while he was with Alan, then Alan sent it to me.. But... ah... I'm confused. It's a cool doodle, let's leave it at that. I just really hope he doesn't mind... :P

PS -- I'm not just talking about Toni, but the other blogs there as well that don't have comment commands.. Come on guys, won't it be fun to have people say something back to what you said? I don't comment all the time, but I'd like to be able to when I feel like leaving one... Get it here. Come oooooooon!!! Don't be afraid of what people will say!

Entry Recycling

Well, I have nothing to say today... And since I want to transfer my favorite entries from my last blog to this one, here's an old entry for those who missed it. It's dated November 28, 2001. Yes, yes, cop out, I know. Hehe. Oh well! :P

Toni (is that how I should call you online?), it would be nice if you had a comment command on your bloggy so people can say stuff. You can get one here.

Matter over Mind

A year ago (or something like that), a girl named Yapi went skipping to her Playstation to try out a new game she just bought while cavorting in the mall that day. The title of the game was Vagrant Story. She was quite impressed with the game, and enjoyed it very much (she also enjoyed seeing the shirtless sexness wonder that is Sydney Losstarot). But 6 hours into the game, something went horribly wrong. And she means HORRIBLY.

Being the stupid git that she was, she wasn't able to develop her weapons properly, so when she faced that @*&$* Wyvern, Djinn, or something (she can't remember) she couldn't hit it for more than 1 point. After a week, she gave up on the game. Not even Googleshng in RPGamer could help her. The thought of the shirtless sexness that is Sydney Losstarot left her mind.

One year later, the happy Yapi gets a commission to draw the shirtless sexness that is Sydney Losstarot. She thought about the game again (and the shirtless sexness that resides within) and thought about continuing it -- this time with the aid of her trusty Gameshark that her younger brother had provided her to ease her pain (yes, she sucks, she knows it -- don't remind her). Being her first time to use a Gameshark, Yapi was awed at the power of the 999 hit code and breezed through the game like a fart on steroids... Allowing herself to be showered by the evil glory of the shirtless sexness wonder that is Sydney Losstarot. Until the ending came...

*Vagrant Story spoilers ahead*

Dammit dammit dammit... That ending is gonna leave a mark in my heart until the end of time... It is DANGEROUS for me to fall in love with a shirtless sexness wonder that I thought was evil then have the events spin around as he is revealed to be the good guy... This will fuel my overzealous emotions and turn my hubba hubba lusting into HOPELESS OBSESSION. Yes, now I am completely obsessed with the shirtless sexness wonder that is Sydney Losstarot.

Especially with that part where Ashley looks at his back and sees that Guildenstern has removed the skin from Sydney's back to get hold of the Blood Sin. I remember it well:

ASHLEY: What has happened here?
SYDNEY: Look, and know...

*Ashley lifts Sydney and sees that his back has been skinned*

YAPI: OH MY GULAY!! *screeeeech*
          *runs to tv*
Sydney!! What did he do to you!?!
*caresses Sydney's back (on the tv screen at least)*
          *jumps up and down*
          *gets teary*
*scrambles around* no, no, no, no, no, no!!!
*gets back in her seat, grabs the controller tight, and prepares for WAR*
          GUILDENSTERN IS D-E-A-D!!

With the 999 hit code, 'ol Guildy was a roach under my boot. *evil cackle*

Of course, you can imagine who happy I was to see that Sydney made it. But you can also imagine how my reaction was when I found out that he was just gonna end his life anyway. And the fact that he died with a smile...

Some things just blow Yapi away...

*sigh*

*end Vagrant Story Spoilers*

Now, what does this have to do with "Matter over Mind"?

Well, now.

I've been so obsessed with Sydney that I've been drawing him non-stop (although only five pictures are worth posting.. I will post them on my hompage soon), but drawing wasn't enough. I thought of all the bishies that have embraced the void and how sad the thought was. So, I had this idea of building a sort of dollhouse of my bishie harem and make little sculptures of all my bishie hunnies. What does that have to do with dead bishies? I don't know. But the idea came in the same breath, anyway, so I'm guessing that Sydney dying had something to do with me thinking of creating a dollhouse/dollharem whatever.

So today, I went out and bought me some nice paper clay because it seemed a good medium. It was soft, smooth, and fluffly white, and can be colored with water-based colors. Nice, neh? Yeah, until I started working on it! The cd I was playing was already going into its third replay, and my Sephiroth figure was still pretty disfigured. Actually, at first, I wanted to do the shirtless sexness that is Sydney. A few minutes later I decided that Sydney's too complicated to do on a first try, so I morphed him into Iori. When Iori didn't work, I tried Sevelin, an original character of mine. Then Sevelin morphed into Sephiroth.

Oh, fine, it was finally going well.. It did look like Sephy. A happy Sephy. Well, it's still Sephy. I painted the face to make sure it looked okay, and it did. And so I continued... *mold mold mold, shape shape shape*

Until I came to the limbs. The damn limbs were NOT cooperating! The hair wouldn't stay put either. After what seemed like an eternity of shaping, wetting, and smudging, I was finally able to sit back, look at my work, and MASH IT TO KINGDOM COME.

My mother always wanted me to believe that I could do anything I set my mind to. Sephiroth showed me otherwise.

Serves me right to think that I can create shirtless sexness wonders with clay during my first try to actually work with the thing.

Tomorrow I shall attempt to create a Squirtle.

If that doesn't work, I shall be distributing paper clay bunnies to everybody next week.

Vrooooooom.... *pt pt pt pt*

Hehe... We went to my grandparents' house today, as we do every Sunday, but since my Nissan Frontier is out in the shop, we had to use the Tamaraw to get there. Yeah man, it was doing Siento-Vente! Tunog siento, takbong vente! Hehehehe! Anyway, siento vente is a hundred-twenty, and that phrase in Filipino means "Sounds like a hundred, running at twenty". That's what it means when someone with a bad car says his vehicle is doing a hundred-twenty :P Like our Tamaraw. These Tamaraws are a biatch. For those who don't know, Tamaraws are a vehicle manufactured by Toyota exclusively for the Philippines. They're named after our local breed of water buffalo, which is endangered, by the way. This is how they look like:

Well, ours looks a little better than this pic. Ours is red and there is tinted glass on the windows because ours has airconditioning (yep, the a/c's are an option). Anyway! Tamaraws are usually bought by people who own their own bussinesses because they function well as delivery trucks. Some families who can't afford a big vehicle, but can afford something more than jeepney buy this too. Ours is for the former -- delivery. We used to have a white one with the store's logo on it, but it's easier to get around when it looks like a private vehicle, so my dad bought a new one that's red :P Hehe, whatever makes life easier. Cooly, matches my hair. But I only ride it if I HAD to. Siento-vente, siento-vente.... Wragh. My dad got it second-hand too, and it was owned by a family. I'm sure they had a little girl because the inside was plastered with Hello Kitty stickers!

You know... since I've started on about Tamaraws... Let's make that my subject for today... I'll make like Hell and lecture :P

Some years go, Toyota released a new version of Tamaraw, the Tamaraw FX:

This Tamaraw revolutionized the commuting industry in the Philippines. Now, instead of just Jeepneys or PUJ's (jeeps used for mass transportation), you can wait at an FX stop and wait for an FX taxi. You ride it along with 8 other complete strangers, pay the driver ten pesos (equivalent to 2 American cents!) and you can get dropped off anywhere along the route of the FX. This is what I ride to go to the mall from my campus when I have no driver. Very convenient :) Also a good place to evesdrop into conversations because some people in there talk like it's their vehicle and they're the only ones there :/ My buddy once had to watch this loving young couple clip each other's fingernails XP

After some time, Toyota released an even better version of the Tamaraw, the Revo. Now this can be used as a family vehicle:

This version is available in several parts of Asia. I guess with the much much much better Engine and the complete overhaul, they finally thought it was good enough to sell Asia-wide. Or Southeast Asia wide, I don't know :P I never do, mwe he he he!

And that concludes my lecture. I would have went on and talked about specs, but I might have bored everyone (if I still haven't bored you by now). Actually, I would have gone into more detail if I weren't talking to Alan on AIM as I type this up, but whatever. Lucky you. Hehehe. For those who are interested in reading more about transportation found in the Philippines (in a general tone, not in detail), here's a page I found :) For more info on the Tamaraw Revo, go here.

Rusuchi-kun, I'm sorry! I'll fix the link tomorrow!
